Omega

Located between 5,930 light-years from Earth, the Omega Nebula spans 15 light-years in diameter.

With its ghostly appearance, The Omega Nebula one of the brightest and most massive stellar nurseries within our Milky Way Galaxy. The red and pink colors represent glowing hydrogen gas.

Astronomer Jean Philippe de Chéseaux discovered this nebula back in 1745.
