LH 95 Stellar Nursery
Known as LH 95, this star-forming region resides within Large Magellanic Cloud, a much smaller, 160,000 light-years distant "baby" galaxy that is slowly merging with our own Milky Way Galaxy. Swirling clouds of gas and dust reside in this elegant-looking stellar nursery imaged by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. This sparkling view captures an area where smaller, younger stars and their much larger and older neighbors live. A mist of blue haze gently flows amid the stars.
